Job Title: Mechanical Technician
Location: Minot, ND 58701 (Strong preference for local candidates)
Pay Rate: $22.00 - $26.00/hour on W2 (based on experience)
Employment Type: 12 Months Contract (Potential Temp-to-Hire)

- Typical shifts are approximately 12 hours per day.

Job Summary
The Mechanical Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing mechanical equipment to ensure timely delivery and maximum operational efficiency. This role focuses on preventive maintenance, equipment reliability, accurate maintenance documentation, and continuous improvement while following all safety and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on assigned equipment.
- Maintain equipment according to maintenance schedules and reliability standards.
- Record maintenance activities, labor, parts usage, and equipment history in computerized maintenance systems.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues using hand and pneumatic tools.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce equipment downtime and improve productivity.
- Participate in equipment failure investigations and repair projects.
- Follow all safety procedures, maintenance standards, and company policies.
- Assist with planned repair and reuse of equipment parts.
- Work collaboratively with maintenance and operations teams.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous hands-on mechanical experience in any industry.
- Experience working with tools, machinery, or mechanical equipment (construction, automotive, manufacturing, military, etc.).
- Proficiency with basic and pneumatic hand tools.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with hydraulic systems and pressurized equipment.
- Oil & gas industry experience.
- Inspection or NDE (Non-Destructive Examination) experience.
