The Technician will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and installation support of hydraulic and electromagnetic braking systems as well as switch machine equipment used in rail applications. This hands-on role requires a strong mechanical aptitude along with electrical/electronic troubleshooting skills. Hydraulic experience is highly advantageous.
This is an on-site position and is not remote.
Responsibilities
- Perform repair and maintenance of hydraulic and electromagnetic brake systems
- Assist with installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair of switch machines
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and implement corrective actions
- Support field service activities and customer installations
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
- Maintain accurate service and repair documentation
- Work collaboratively with a small technical team to meet customer and project requirements
- Follow all company safety and quality procedures
Qualifications
- Experience in mechanical and electrical/electronic repair and troubleshooting
- Hydraulic experience is preferred
- Technical training, trade school, or equivalent hands-on experience is advantageous
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and standard shop equipment
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to travel occasionally within North America
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required
