Trace Aviation, a division of Precision Aviation Group, is a leader in the MRO (maintenance, repair, overhaul) industry for general aviation aircraft.  Our facility, located in Jackson, MS, has Technician openings in our Assembly and Teardown departments.  This is a great opportunity for an individual with strong mechanical aptitude and experience to get into the aviation industry. 

Candidates who join our team will be involved in the disassemble/inspection/reassemble and test of a wide variety of landing gear components with a concentration on King Air platforms.  As part of our team you will work with and be trained by some of the best technicians in the industry.  Previous aviation experience is valued, but not required.

Essential Functions include:

• Read and interpret maintenance and overhaul manuals, service bulletins and other specifications to determine the feasibility and method of repairing or replacing components.
• Replace or repair components using hand tools, gauges and testing equipment.
• Perform testing of components.

Ideal candidates will offer the:

• Ability to read and understand manufacturer's instructions, drawings, and technical documents

• Mechanical experience in either the Aviation or Automotive Industry
• Ability to use precision measuring equipment, i.e., micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, etc.
• Able to push/pull up to 60 lbs and lift 50 lbs routinely
