They are seeking a Mechanical Systems Fabricator to support assembly and fabrication operations within their shop.
This is a very hands-on role involving system assembly, fabrication work, and the construction of plastic piping panels and water treatment systems. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working with tools, building equipment, and being on their feet throughout the day.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble water treatment systems and equipment from technical drawings and prints
- Perform fabrication work including drilling, cutting, measuring, and material preparation
- Build and assemble plastic piping panels and system components
- Utilize hand and power tools including drills, saws, sockets, wrenches, and measuring tools
- Verify systems function properly once assembled
- Support basic wiring and cable routing as training progresses
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to support project completion
Requirements:
- 2+ years of hands-on fabrication, assembly, or mechanical experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand and power tools
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical prints and drawings
- Ability to read a tape measure and perform fractional measurements
- Comfortable standing throughout the day
- Willingness to work overtime and Saturday mornings
Preferred Experience:
- Water or wastewater equipment experience
- Basic electrical knowledge or wiring experience
- Experience within equipment manufacturing or machine building environments
