Based in our Eden Prairie, MN location, we are seeking a self-motivated engineer to support our existing Flow measurement products. Ideal candidates have successfully developed or supported mechanically based products throughout their life cycle, meeting quality, performance, cost, and schedule goals with minimal direction.
PRODUCTS WE ENGINEER:
We design and develop products delivering highly accurate flow measurements for a wide variety of applications in the most challenging environments. Customers rely on our products to be robust and long lasting to ensure their success. Our magnetic and vortex flow meter products are engineered to solve challenges with pressure containment, electronics packaging, fluid flow, certification for hazardous location use, and environmental stewardship. To remain a market leader, we continue to refresh our products by improving ease of customer use, incorporating innovative features, updating technology, reducing power consumption, and simplifying manufacturing.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Plan and implement product extensions and cost reduction projects
- Use analytical skills to fix and resolve quality, design, or manufacturing issues in existing products.
- Collaborate with global teams including manufacturing, purchasing, marketing, vendors, sales and customers to handle and complete projects.
- Ensure high standards of engineering rigor are applied to technical decision making, including meeting regulatory needs.
- Collaborate with designers, drafters, test laboratory and model shop team members.
- Participate in failure analysis reviews, discrepant material reviews, design reviews, and peer reviews.
- Write and review test plans and engineering documentation to assure quality and performance standards are met.
- Monitor prototype construction, laboratory testing, and agency testing during product evaluation and design cycles.
- Initiate and complete routine engineering change authorizations.

For This Role, You Will Need:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Minimum two (2) years engineering experience
- Occasional domestic or international travel required (once or twice per year)
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
- Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field from an ABET - accredited program
- Ability to work with multiple cultures effectively
- Experience with international safety and hazardous location design, such as explosion-proof / flameproof and intrinsic safety
- Proficiency in CAD (Creo preferred)
- Experience with CAD database management software for instance Teamcenter
- Familiarity with PLM and MRP software (Enovia/Oracle)
