The Boeing CompanyBoeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) 787 Airframe Structures team is seeking a first level engineering leader to join the Fuselage LCPT group in North Charleston, South Carolina.
This leader will lead a team of structures analysis and design engineers supporting the 787 S43 and the 787 common architecture. The statement of work shall include future airframe design, factory and fleet support, and oversight of 787 Partners and the supply chain. This leader should be able to manage a wide variety of concurrent work statements, including long and short flow assignments.
The position requires a candidate with a servant leadership mindset who communicates and collaborates well with others. This leadership role will have an emphasis on mentoring/ coaching teammates, establishing positive working relationships, and instilling a culture of engineering excellence and safety. This leader should be able to leverage engineering judgment to guide and shepherd teams and engineers to effective and efficient solutions that meet product safety as well as business objectives.
The leader will be responsible for staffing and budget planning and processes and implementing the Best Program Management Practices.
This leader will manage employees performing engineering and technical activities around Mechanical & Structural Engineering. Develop and execute business plans, policies and procedures and develop organizational and technical strategies. Acquire resources, provide technical management of suppliers and lead process improvements. Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Manages, develops and motivates employees.
