**Mechanical QC inspector

**

**About the role:

**

As a QC Inspector you will inspect parts, piping, welds and heavy machinery for flaws using visual and non-destructive testing (NDT)

You will report to the Site Manager and be located Waterford, CT.

On-Site-Contract Position

**Responsibilities:

**

• Inspect parts, piping, welds and heavy machinery for flaws using visual and non-destructive testing (NDT)

• Ensure all work and materials match design blueprints, technical specifications and nuclear standards like ASME and NQA-1

• Check material test reports, calibration logs and inspection packages before equipment installation.

• Document nonconformances, stop defective work and track corrective actions to completion.

**Qualifications:

**

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical inspection or a related field.

• Proficiency in using measuring instruments, such as calipers and micrometers.

• Certification Level II or III in non-destructive examination

• Familiarity with ASME Boiler and pressure vessel codes and NRC regulations
