Mechanical project engineer - The primary responsibility will be to develop, qualify, and support mechanical assemblies and system for use in Power Test's products. This includes system design for machinery and test systems in engine and transmission testing and remanufacturing environments including those that support automotive and motor cycle racing.

The Key Accountabilities of the Mechanical Project Engineer role are as follows. This is an in-office role and resides on-site in Sussex, WI. Some travel may be required.

Design Engineering:

Engage in all phases of product development, including concept, architecture, design, test, and service support.
Work with cross-functional teams to take a design from specification through design, development, test, and delivery.
Review and develop technical specifications.
Design mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies for specification compliance.
Verify that designs meet or exceed all requirements and specifications.
Perform detailed technical analyses and create test and analysis reports.
Develop technical solutions to known production, reliability, or a performance problem.
Generate design documentation to ensure the delivery of a quality finished product.
Partner with supply chain on mechanical and electromechanical component selections.
Configure and tune systems to meet performance or customer needs.
Develop new applications that run on existing test equipment through configuration changes, system adaptations, and script writing.

Integrate system customizations to align the systems with customers applications.

Continuous Improvement :

Seek continuous improvement of knowledge on product features and benefits, market information, economic impacts to the business, and competitive products.
Participate in hands-on manner with troubleshooting, corrective actions, or product development as needed to ensure understanding of equipment functionality and potential dysfunctionality.
Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures within the Performance team.
Manage team projects and priorities, ensuring 90% or better on-time delivery of engineering releases.
