Project Duration:

Approximately 18 Months

Pay Rate:

$25.00 - $27.00 per hour (Based on Experience)

Shift:

Daylight (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM) or Afternoon (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM) or 12 hour shifts

Schedule:

Monday – Friday, with overtime as needed

Position Summary

TOPS Staffing is seeking an experienced Mechanical Technician

to support a long-term industrial water treatment facility project in the Spring Hill/Shady Hills area. This position is ideal for a mechanically inclined maintenance professional with experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial equipment in manufacturing, utility, processing, or water treatment environments.

The Mechanical Technician will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of plant equipment through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and coordination of maintenance activities. This individual will work closely with plant operations and subcontractors to support the successful execution of this large-scale infrastructure project.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain pumps, motors, blowers, valves, piping systems, and other mechanical equipment.

• Perform preventative maintenance activities in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and maintenance schedules.

• Lubricate and service rotating equipment including pumps, motors, bearings, and drive components.

• Perform pump alignments, bearing replacements, seal replacements, and related mechanical repairs.

• Identify, diagnose, and repair leaks within mechanical and piping systems.

• Repair, maintain, and troubleshoot chemical dosing and feed systems.

• Support maintenance planning efforts and preventative maintenance scheduling.

• Coordinate and oversee subcontractor activities when required.

• Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and equipment documentation.

• Assist with spare parts inventory management and maintenance planning initiatives.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and site-specific requirements.

• Support overall facility reliability and continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial, manufacturing, utility, or process-driven environment.

• Strong troubleshooting and repair experience with:

• Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, diagrams, schematics, and work instructions.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or trade school certification preferred.

• Equivalent hands-on mechanical maintenance experience will be considered.

• Previous experience in industrial water treatment facilities is highly preferred.

• Experience with any of the following systems is a plus:
