Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the mechanical maintenance operations of our facility. This role ensures optimal functioning of all mechanical systems and equipment through routine maintenance, timely repairs, and effective team supervision. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, leadership capabilities, and a commitment to workplace safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of mechanical maintenance technicians.
  • Plan and oversee scheduled preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on machinery, pumps, compressors, conveyors, and other mechanical systems.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance needs and troubleshoot equipment breakdowns.
  • Maintain records of maintenance schedules, work orders, and equipment history.
  • Assist in preparing and managing maintenance budgets and procurement of spare parts.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production departments for continuous improvement.
  • Train and mentor maintenance staff in technical skills and safety protocols.
  • Ensure proper use and upkeep of tools, equipment, and facilities.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to reduce downtime and increase efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and fabrication. Ability to read mechanical drawings and schematics.
  • Other Skills: Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

Working Conditions:

  • This position will require occasional weekend, holiday, or on-call work.
  • Physical demands include standing for long periods, climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in various environmental conditions (heat, noise, etc.).
