Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Inspector to join our team in Phoenix, CA. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that our mechanical components meet the highest standards of quality and safety. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of mechanical components and assemblies to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
- Utilize calipers, micrometers, guages and other tools to inspect precision parts
- Utilize various inspection tools and equipment to measure dimensions and tolerances.
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate records of findings.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inspection processes.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior inspectors as needed.
- Stay updated on industry standards and best practices related to mechanical inspection.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in mechanical inspection is a plus.
- Good understanding of GD&T
- Proven experience in mechanical inspection or a related field.
- Strong understanding of mechanical drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Proficiency in using inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
