We are hiring an experienced Mechanical Estimating Manager who you will be responsible for calculating accurate major construction cost estimates and will be involved in the planning, development, negotiation, and contract execution of these projects. This position is responsible for the overall management of the estimating department.
Estimator Responsibilities:
- Determine the total cost of materials, equipment, utilities, labor and in-directs for industrial construction projects.
- Research construction documents and analyzing specifications.
- Prepare estimates for planning, organizing, and scheduling project work.
- Prepare estimates to meet project goals, sequencing tasks, obtaining materials, and securing the best deals with vendors and subcontractors.
- Ensure that relevant documents and budgets are submitted before a bid deadline.
- Regularly report to Management and keep clients updated on the project status.
- Identify risks, formulate contingency plans, and effectively manage risks that might impact cost and schedule of the estimates.
- Keep track of the latest estimating technology and industry-related techniques.
- Collaborate with other teams, conduct site visits, and provide other services, like bid deliveries, when required.
Estimator Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- At least seven (7) years of experience as an Estimator in the industrial construction field.
- Advanced computer skills and demonstrable competency with ProEst estimating software.
