The Research and Development Engineering internship will be focused on optimizing dielectrics of a conductor in a sealed container. Ideal applicants will be pursuing a degree in Mechanical/Power Engineering.
Project Details:
- Intern would evaluate conductors in a sealed container to determine gas contamination levels as well how contamination affects dielectric properties.
- Intern would design and procure sealed container and set up test plan.
- Intern would run FEA to make predictions of tests.
- Intern would collect results and report on optimized solutions.
Job Requirements:
A successful intern at Powell will have the following characteristics:
- Currently pursuing a 4 year degree from an accredited institution
- Rising Junior or Senior level students continuing their studies in the fall semester
- Good academic standing; minimum 3.0 GPA
- Team-player, self-starter, effective communicator, & dependable
- Possess multi-tasking abilities and strong inter-personal skills.
- FEA experience a bonus
