Are you ready to flex your engineering technical skills while also grow your leadership potential? If you’re ready, we want you to join our Galley Inserts and Chillers team in Lenexa, KS as a Summer (June start) and Fall (early to mid-December end) Co-op. You would need to take the fall semester off. We specialize in designing galley insert products and aircraft galley chiller systems for commercial and military programs. If you’re ready to take the jump, your time is now! This role is onsite, in Lenexa, KS. This position may be eligible for relocation.

What You Will Do:

  • You will assist in the design, development, and testing of mechanical components and systems.
  • You will collaborate with engineers to create detailed technical drawings and specifications using CAD software.
  • You will conduct research and data analysis to support engineering projects.
  • You will participate in the prototyping and testing of new designs, including the preparation of test setups and the execution of tests.
  • You will have collaboration opportunity with our international sites.

What You Will Learn:

  • You will gain exposure to global stakeholders and peers at our facilities in Netherlands, India, and the Philippines.
  • You will be introduced to the regulatory and customer compliance in aerospace products.
  • You will take initiative to suggest improvements to product and processes.
  • You will help us advance future product development and innovation of the galley Inserts and chiller product lines.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Strong academic performance and a fundamental understanding of mechanical engineering principles.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and familiarity with engineering analysis tools (e.g., FEA, CFD).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
