Job Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer/Designer to join our team in a role that blends hands-on product design with opportunities for continued professional development. This position is well-suited for an engineer with a solid foundation in mechanical design who is ready to contribute independently, collaborate with senior engineers, and take ownership of project components from concept through testing.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Design and model mechanical parts and assemblies using SolidWorks

• Generate and maintain detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings to support development and production

• Conduct laboratory testing to verify product performance and ensure compliance with customer specifications and industry standards

• Participate in sustaining engineering activities to improve or maintain current product lines

• Assist drafters and support structural layout development for new and existing designs

• Perform research to evaluate feasibility, functionality, and performance of components and systems

• Collaborate across departments to meet engineering and production deadlines

Job Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering

• 2 to 5 years of experience in mechanical design preferred

• Proficiency with SolidWorks or comparable CAD software

• Working knowledge of standard product design practices, manufacturing processes, and regulatory guidelines

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment

• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

Physical Requirements: 

• Frequent use of hands for tools, CAD equipment, and materials handling

• Occasional standing, kneeling, or lifting (up to 50 lbs) may be required

• Visual acuity necessary for detailed design and inspection tasks
