Hexcel is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer for our Decatur, AL location.

The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:

Assist in the management of the site Mechanical Integrity program and provide technical engineering support for equipment selection, performance, reliability, and repair.
Evaluate, select, and order equipment that is most appropriate and cost effective for the manufacture of company products.
Oversee the installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
Scope and estimate capital projects as necessary to improve equipment reliability and performance.
Provide advice on the development of technical specifications. Ensure equipment conforms to local specifications and availability, interfacing with the chosen equipment supplier.

Qualifications:

B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the field or in a related area
Knowledge of a range of engineering disciplines (instrumentation, electrical, civil, mechanical, and chemical)
Oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and superior organizational abilities
Ability to take initiative, maintain confidentiality, meet deadlines, and work in a team environment
