We are seeking a smart, self-motivated, well-rounded Mechanical Engineer Intern who excels at solving problems and seeking to improve processes in innovative ways. To be successful in this role you must value teamwork and communication as well as working closely with other engineers in small, dynamic teams. The ideal candidate must possess a broad skill set, excellent communication and presentation skills, analytical thinking and a desire for learning that will support sustainable career growth.
This is an Mechanical Engineer Internship in a product design and development environment. Engineer Interns in this position will be given assignments assisting in large and/or complex team projects, as well as individual project work during the summer. This role would also support method and process improvements or maintenance of existing product lines. Responsibilities include but are limited to:
Preparing concept and prototype designs of mechanical systems as well as hands on design and analysis of individual parts and components, that meets customer requirements and expectations, reliability and robustness requirements, manufacturing processes and safety guidelines.
Modeling component and assembly designs using advanced 3D CAD tools, and interpreting and generating 2D drawings per mechanical drafting standards.
Conducting experiments to confirm analyses, evaluating new or existing designs to conform to product specifications.
Performing mechanical verification tests per product specifications and writing test reports.
Supporting factory quality and process issues and providing feedback to resolve.
Supporting the Mechanical lab and developing or suggesting improvements to our capabilities.
Working towards a Bachelor's or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering.
Must graduate on or after December 2025.
Must be a US Citizen, permanent resident or be an MS student with work authorization (F1 Visa on CPT accepted only for masters-level students).
