Compensation

  • As you evaluate your career options, we recognize that salary is a key consideration. For this role, the pay range is $20.00-25.00 per hour, with individual compensation determined by your unique skills, experience level, and other relevant factors


Schedule: Enjoy a 4-day work week, 10-hours a day (Monday–Thursday Between 6:00am and 6:00pm).

    • Additional hours may be required during busier times

 

What You Will be Doing:

Performs entry-level tasks to support the research and development of new products including validation testing, reporting, and design in accordance with product specifications and quality standards.

  • Work with department and cross functional project teams to design products/tools for HVAC technicians
  • Support department goals by performing testing and evaluation of prototype and production parts, production support, and developing specifications for Ritchie Engineering product ideas
  • Transform initial rough product designs into working production ready documents using SolidWorks
  • Review engineering drawing and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards
  • Update/change released production documentation utilizing current change process
  • Develop Bill of Materials that will be entered into business system using ECM Process
  • Create production ready drawings for parts and assemblies using SolidWorks in a timely manner
  • Use SolidWorks Best Practices to ensure accurate, editable, and complete models and drawings
  • Support process engineering requirements by updating necessary documents per required changes
  • Maintain file revision utilizing current Engineering Data Management System 
  • Communicate potential design problems or issues in a timely manner to the responsible team member 
  • Build test plans, perform validation testing, and write test reports
  • Analyze competitive products
  • Other duties as assigned including training others on known processes

 

What You Will Bring:

Required:

  • Enrolled in a 2-year or 4-year college pursuing an Engineering or similar degree
  • Experienced in 3D CAD modeling software
  • Proficiency in reading and writing in English
  • Highly organized, self-motivated and can work independently
  • Must be highly self-motivated, work with minimal supervision and be able to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills as well as excellent communication skills (both written and oral) with ability to manage multiple priorities.

Preferred:

  • Experienced with Solidworks
  • Experienced with ERP systems

Work Environment:

The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to the manufacturing areas where certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment, may work near moving equipment, and exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes, and noise.
