Job Overview:

Overview

We are currently seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer II to join our team at our facility located in Harrisburg, PA, 17111. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, product design experience, and a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Proficiency in SolidWorks software is also required for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Able to create designs in SolidWorks (part and assembly files)
  • Able to detail in SolidWorks (drawing files)
  • Close collaboration with the Senior Mechanical Engineer to brainstorm and implement new technologies
  • Completes all necessary engineering calculations to ensure success with a production assembly machine.
  • Concepts of mechanical designs
  • Coordinate with electrical engineers and machine builders
  • Ensure overall machine design integration of all tooling subassemblies.
  • Ensure overall machine design integration with electrical engineers as required.
  • Follow HPEC Automation design standards
  • Generates machine timing diagrams
  • Helps create machine manuals and spare parts lists
  • Helps prepare quotations as needed
  • Helps study standards to ensure compliance
  • Leads and documents machine risk assessment/reduction efforts
  • Leads small projects as needed
  • Mentored by Senior, Builder II, & Foreman
  • Organize drawings according to department and project requirements
  • Organizes participates, and/or runs concept design reviews as required.
  • Prepares and delivers internal and external engineering presentations as required
  • Prerequisite - Mechanical Engineer I or equivalent.
  • Provide BOMs as required.
  • Provide concepts and illustrations for new projects.
  • Research and implement improvements based on industry standards
  • Supports production facility with remote support requests as needed.
  • Supports machine build and conditioning phases of a project.
  • Travels as required to support projects.
  • Any other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Demonstrated experience in product design and development
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks software for creating engineering drawings
  • Strong blueprint reading skills to interpret technical drawings
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

You should be proficient in:

  • CAD/CAM Software

  • Mechanical Troubleshooting Skills
