Description
The Mechanical Engineer will design, develop, and test new products and technologies, as well as current product and manufacturing processes. The role includes planning activities, industrialization of products and system, and technical support.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop product designs using solid modeling and CAD software.
- Create electronic drawings using CAD and modeling programs with appropriate dimensional drawings including GD&T.
- Prepare equipment or material specifications.
- Researches and analyzes data such as internal or customer design proposal, specifications, and industry standards to determine feasibility of design or application under minimal supervision.
- Effective use of statistical methods, design of experiments and systematic problem-solving techniques
- Conduct research that tests and analyzes the feasibility, design, operation and performance of equipment, components and systems and processes.
- Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation, and to make recommendations.
- Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.
- Maintain proper documentation in accordance with general manufacturing standards customer specification and Click Bond, Inc. policies.
- Read and interpret customer and industry specifications.
- Develop documents which drive the manufacturing process: drawings, models, assemblies, etc.
- Support all company facilities in design, analysis, and testing as it relates to existing product lines or the development of new derivative products.
- Take on the technical lead role in the mechanical design of various simultaneous projects, as well as be involved with the entire product design and validation process.
- Design and develop manufacturing methods, tooling, and processes.
- Report immediately any machine or process challenges and all suspicious and hazardous conditions to a supervisor or manager.
- Understand and observe all safety guidelines and assure quality and safety by complying with all appropriate CB policies and procedures.
- Assist in maintaining clean, orderly, and hazard-free work areas.
- Able to work with minimal supervision, be a self-starter and be detail oriented.
- Works with engineering personnel in fabrication of prototype products and development of methods and procedures for testing products.

Qualifications

- Create professional presentations and be able to work both internally and to customers effectively.
- Manage as well as lead several projects simultaneously in a multi-disciplined working environment.
- Experience working in a regulated industry, and QMS environment.
- Understanding of the design process for both existing and derivative products.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes used in aerospace and the fastener industry.
- Understanding of the standards related to the aerospace and fastener industry.
- Generate presentations, and present work in a professional manner.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from an accredited college or university in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering
- 3-5 years prior experience in a related field, industry or work environment is required
- Skilled knowledge of SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Proficient in of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook or similar programs.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information then responds to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to read and write English.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations.
- Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
REASONING ABLITY
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
