Job Description

Job Summary:

The Mechanical Engineer I is responsible for performing research, development, design, and testing of products. Design work is monitored and reviewed by a senior-level engineer.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Work in a team environment to analyze customer requirements and develop design solutions
• Support on-site or remote factory production
• Complete 3D design of parts and assemblies, and create 2D part and assembly drawings using CAD software (Inventor preferred)
• Participates as a drawing checker to ensure items are detailed correctly 
• Participates in engineering review meetings
• Communicate with suppliers/vendors as required 
• Builds and analyzes prototypes
• Conduct laboratory testing of products to ensure compliance with customer requirements and regulatory standards
• Create Operation & Maintenance Manual and/or Installation Instructions for Products

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; 2-5 years’ experience a plus
• Proficiency in using solid modeling CAD software (experience with Inventor a plus)
• Proficient with MS Office Products
• Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced production environment
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
