Looking for a Mechanical Engineer I or II, the pay range: $70,000 - $85,000/annually, depending on knowledge, skills, and experience.
JOB SUMMARY: Individual must work in an engineering team environment to provide complete engineering packages required to manufacture and assemble automated equipment and other related Beverage Can Systems/Press equipment. Accuracy, flexibility and efficiency are extremely important.
The individual must possess strong communication skills, efficient work habits and be self-motivated to succeed in an environment where engineering costs and schedules must be minimized for the company to be successful; Design of automated machinery and tooling; Produce complete assembly and detail Drawings; Construct (BOM)’s Bills Of Material electronically through ERP and PDM systems; Input and release of engineered components and assemblies to purchasing via ERP software; Maintain project related documents, records and files; Attend/Participate in engineering/customer/supplier meetings; Chair design review meetings for part and assembly designs; Perform drawing/document revisions and/or (ECR)-Engineering Change Requests; Assist in creation and updates of machine manuals;
Mechanical I: Four-year college degree with emphasis on Machine Design/Mechanical Engineering; Experience in 2D AutoCAD and 3D solid modeling software, Microsoft Office, Excel and Word; Experience working with Tool & Die Makers within a machine shop is a Plus; Experience with automation, motion control and complex machine design highly preferred;
Mechanical II: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
Mechanical Engineer II - PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Mechanical Engineer I: Minimum 1-3 years of machine design proficiency, preferably in automated equipment and tool/die industries. Other OEM similar industries will be considered;
Mechanical Engineer II: Minimum seven (7) years of machine design proficiency, preferably in automated equipment and tool/die industries. Other OEM similar industries will be considered; Experience in Electro-Mechanical Designs utilizing PLC platform is desirable; Interfacing with shop floor assembly technicians to review design criteria/specifications, continuous improvement initiatives, and troubleshooting.
