We specialize in creating oxygen breathing systems for commercial passengers/crew, and military programs – including parachutists! Cool, right? What You Will Do:

You will serve as the technical mechanical product expert as you partner with project engineers, electrical engineers, software/system engineers, certification engineers, and other project team members from around the world while designing circuit board integrations for all things oxygen.
You will lead the analysis of our existing processes while also developing new processes.
You be involved in all phases of the engineering processes from concept evaluation and proposal to design and development to qualification/certification and product field support.
You will participate and/or chair design reviews and lessons learned to ensure mechanical design maturity and troubleshooting any challenges.

What You Will Learn:

You will gain exposure to global stakeholders and peers at our facilities in India and Germany.
You will become an expert at regulatory and customer compliance.
You will be able to takes initiative to suggest improvements to product and processes.
You will learn how Oxygen systems work for passengers, crew, and even parachutist.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Qualifications We Prefer:

Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Experience with Aerospace products
Experience with DO-160 or MIL-STD environmental qualification.
Experience with Oxygen Systems or Passenger Service Units (PSUs) or similar systems.
Experience with Siemens NX CAD development tools and integration with Team Center.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. Must be a commutable distance to Lenexa, KS to work an onsite schedule. This position may be eligible for relocation.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
