Description
The Mechanical Engineer will design and test all aspects of mechanical equipment and machinery related to the oil & gas industry.
Job Responsibilities
- Designs products such as hydraulic power units, hydraulic control system hydraulic distribution panels, chemical injection units, etc.
- Works with a design team to create process flow diagrams, equipment layouts, and fabrication drawings.
- Sizing and specification of components and completion of hydraulic calculations are common.
- Perform mechanical design and fabrication for various types of hydraulic power and control units including conceptualization, material selection, assembly, testing and validation.
- Works with vendors to procure or contract required parts and work.
- Proactively document and communicate project plans, costs, and tasks for team members and supervisors.
- Uses computer-assisted design (CAD) software to create preliminary and detailed drawings of products and structural analysis.
- Produces specifications for products and chooses raw materials and components to be used in production.
- Provides engineering technical support to the production team during the build and commissioning of your machines.
- Constant customer and vendor interaction and user manual creation.
- Must be capable of taking direction and following through with assigned tasks.

Required Experience & Education
- 0-3 years of experience working in the Industrial Manufacturing Industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
