Lumentum is seeking a bright, motivated individual to contribute to the development of a variety of highly-innovative and market-leading high power single-mode and multi-mode semiconductor lasers for telecom, industrial and consumer applications.
Qualifications:
- Expertise in drafting mechanical drawings is required.
- Expertise in Computer Aided Design and Drafting Software (Solidworks preferred) is required.
- Experience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing is required.
- Experience in creating bill of materials and assembly drawing is required.
- Experience in ECO and documentation is desirable.
- Experiences in Ansys APDL, Ansys Workbench, and other mechanical simulation software tools desirable.
- Education should hold BS degree or above in mechanical engineering.
- US citizenship or permanent residence preferred as it allows greater program flexibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with R&D Engineers to develop new products from conception to production release.
- Create detailed piece part and assembly drawings, specify dimensions, materials, and procedures.
- Provide details on component descriptions and purchase accordingly.
- Submit and track purchase requisitions for R&D projects.
- Preform incoming inspection on received parts.
- Assemble and test prototype component, tooling and equipment.
- Perform thermal and stress simulation of chip level diode package.
- Document and ECO release of engineering reports, engineering drawings, bill of materials and equipment design specifications.
