As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll craft and evaluate mechanical systems, and equipment. Dive into design and rigorous evaluation for novel and enhanced designs. Work with support teams in detailed design preparation, analysis, testing, and prototype creation where you will be documenting installation parts and kits to support grade control on construction equipment. You will work closely with marketing, engineering, program management, manufacturing and OEM teams to release high quality products for the earthmoving and paving industries. What You Will Do
Transforming customer requirements into innovative mechanical designs
Taking concepts and transforming them into 3D part models and assemblies
Verifying designs in the intended application through analysis and testing
Assessing designs for safety, manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and durability
Creating and managing comprehensive product documentation, including drawings and test plans
Creating assembly instructions
Integrating mechanical and electromechanical designs into the engineering system
Performing FEA, fatigue, bolt joins and vibration analysis
Maintaining fluid communication with suppliers and customers about design changes
Leading design review presentations involving diverse stakeholders
Evaluating supplier designs for cost-efficiency and effective manufacturing processes
What Skills & Experience You Should Bring
Hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
Effective written and oral communication skills
Ability to communicate with people in multiple geographic locations including flexibility to sometimes work early mornings or evenings to attend meetings
Ability to schedule and meet deadlines
Ability to understand and oversee details needed to release a product
Passion for creating and improving processes
Enthusiasm and interest in work on and around construction machinery
Experience with Engineering design
Familiar with ProE/Creo
Experience with FEA and vibration analysis
Experience in manufacturing and distribution
