  • Perform fluid flow and heat transfer analysis using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) tools

  • Conduct feasibility assessments, perform engineering calculations, and run simulations to enhance mechanical performance

  • Create detailed CAD models, technical documentation, and fabrication drawings

  • Troubleshoot issues in production environments related to mechanical or fluid systems

  • Collaborate with controls and electrical engineers on equipment integration projects

  • Ensure mechanical systems align with safety regulations, industry standards, and internal engineering practices

  • Prepare reports, technical documentation, and updates for stakeholders and leadership

  • Evaluate new technologies, materials, and vendor-supplied components for potential integration

  • Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing efforts

  • Other responsibilities as assigned by engineering leadership

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical design, system optimization, or equipment support

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of fluid systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and filtration

  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or similar)

  • Experience with CFD tools such as ANSYS Fluent, OpenFOAM, or similar platforms

  • Familiarity with PLC integration and industrial automation systems

  • Understanding of material handling, mechanical fabrication, and weld design

  • Exposure to finite element analysis (FEA) in addition to CFD

  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills applied to high-volume or heavy industrial settings

  • Experience in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma methodology, or reliability-centered maintenance

  • Excellent project management, time management, and technical documentation skills

You should be proficient in:

  • Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
  • CAD/CAM Software
  • Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

Machines & technologies you'll use:

  • Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)
  • Conveyor Systems
