As a mechanical engineer, you will be involved in the design and development of highly sophisticated camera systems for mission critical markets in the government segment. Responsibilities include:
Prepare concept designs of mechanical sub-systems that meet customer requirements and expectations, reliability and robustness requirements, manufacturing processes and safety guidelines.
Working in a team environment and developing overall design concepts for mechanical components and assemblies.
Design and analyze products for cosmetic and functional housing, internal components, and development, including evaluation of existing standard parts.
Verify designs using CAE, manual methods, and functional tests.
Design and perform experiments for verification of analysis
Responsible for the detailed design of components which include plastic parts, sheet metal stampings, die-castings, rubber components, cable assemblies, and PCBA support.
Setting up and maintaining bills of materials and releasing mechanical drawings
Supporting the factory from prototype to production builds.
Perform mechanical verification tests per product specifications and writing test reports
Perform worst case and statistical tolerance analysis to ensure design for fit and apply appropriate tolerances on engineering drawings
Collaborate with extended designs teams across domestic and international locations
Work with suppliers, both foreign and domestic, to validate designs through FOT and production tool qualification

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
Strong familiarity and proficiency with SolidWorks 3D Modeling
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Able to communicate and present conceptual ideas to technical audiences and management
