Location: Wheatland, PA

Job Type: Direct Hire

Compensation: $90,000 -110,00 (based on experience)

A growing industrial manufacturer is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead product design, development, and process improvement initiatives within a fast-paced production environment.

Position Overview

The Mechanical Engineer will play a key role in designing and improving products and manufacturing processes. This position requires a hands-on, solutions-driven engineer who can collaborate across departments and contribute to both engineering and production success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) and support ERP integration
  • Design detailed assemblies, layouts, and production specifications
  • Utilize SolidWorks and simulation tools for design and analysis
  • Create and maintain engineering drawings and documentation
  • Collaborate with internal teams and customers to define product requirements
  • Develop and test prototypes to validate design performance
  • Drive initiatives to reduce costs and improve manufacturing efficiency
  • Analyze workflows and implement process improvements
  • Ensure designs meet engineering standards, safety, and compliance requirements
  • Manage project timelines and support production schedules
  • Continuously improve product quality, durability, and performance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

  • 4+ years of experience in design or project engineering within manufacturing

  • Strong experience with:- SolidWorks (required)

    • Design for Manufacturing (DFM)
    • Mechanical systems and structural analysis
  • Experience working with:- Steel, plastics, composites, and non-ferrous materials

    • Welding and fabrication environments
  • Proven ability to optimize processes and drive projects to completion

  • Strong communication and technical documentation skills

  • Continuous improvement mindset with strong problem-solving ability

Preferred Experience

  • Background in industrial manufacturing or heavy equipment
  • Experience with ERP systems and BOM management
  • Exposure to cost reduction and production optimization initiatives
