Mechanical Design Engineer Job Description - Clyde Industries
Responsible for product design and the development process from concept to finalization in a collaborative environment. Will create new designs and implement changes to existing parts to resolve field problems and improve product performance and reliability. Confers with internal and external customers to ensure that our products meet all requirements.
Additionally, this employee will review engineering changes and make appropriate changes for drawings. Will create parts and bills of material for new assemblies. Support project engineers and Purchasing and Quality departments; supports the material review board. Addresses questions from vendors and internal customers regarding clarifications, deviations requests and drawing accuracy. Identifies and researches emerging technologies that may improve our products.
Requirements:
BSME degree required.
Detail design work with machinery and machine parts.
Thorough knowledge of engineering terminology and standards (i.e. materials, dimensioning and tolerances).
Thorough knowledge of drafting techniques. AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor 3D proficiency is required. Solid Works experience a plus.
Thorough understanding of manufacturing processes, material specification and welding standards.
The ideal candidate will also have experience in:
Problem resolution analysis and interpreting findings.
Creating P& I Diagrams.
Quantitative and qualitative data analysis required producing project deliverables.
Developing or working with product configurators.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
