Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and troubleshooting of refrigeration, HVAC, and mechanical systems using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Perform repairs on equipment including air conditioning units, boilers, ammonia refrigeration systems, plumbing fixtures, and appliance components.
- Install, modify, and maintain HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems in compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
- Use welding techniques to repair or fabricate mechanical components when necessary.
- Read and interpret schematics and HVAC design documents to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
- Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports documenting all inspections, repairs, and system modifications.
Experience
- Proven experience as a service technician specializing in HVAC/R systems or refrigeration equipment.
- Hands-on experience with construction projects involving mechanical systems installation or maintenance.
- Familiarity with property maintenance tasks related to mechanical systems management.
- Knowledge of plumbing systems, appliance repair, boiler operation, and general equipment repair is highly desirable.
- Ability to read schematics accurately and work confidently with technical diagrams.
- Mechanical knowledge complemented by experience in welding, boiler maintenance, or ammonia refrigeration is a plus.
- Previous field service experience working directly on HVAC/R units or mechanical equipment in commercial or industrial settings.
