Mechanical Project Executive

Dallas–Fort Worth Region | Full-Time | Strategic Leadership Role

Our client, a premier mechanical contractor specializing in large-scale commercial, industrial, and institutional projects, is seeking a Mechanical Project Executive to lead operations, strengthen key client relationships, and drive strategic growth across North Texas. This is an executive leadership role reporting directly to the President—an opportunity to shape the company's future and position it for continued expansion in one of the nation's fastest-growing markets.

The ideal candidate brings deep mechanical construction leadership experience, established relationships within the DFW construction community, and a proven track record of managing complex projects and driving business performance at a strategic level.

What You'll Own

Strategic Growth & Market Leadership

  • Develop and execute growth strategies to expand market share across North Texas
  • Cultivate and leverage relationships with general contractors, owners, engineers, and key industry stakeholders
  • Represent the company at industry events, association meetings, and high-level client engagements
  • Shape the company's competitive positioning and long-term vision

Operational Excellence

  • Lead project management and field operations to ensure excellence in safety, quality, scheduling, and profitability
  • Review project portfolios—scope, budgets, manpower, timelines—and drive continuous improvement
  • Build operational consistency and best practices across teams
  • Scale operations to support company expansion

Financial & Business Performance

  • Oversee job cost forecasting and resource allocation across all projects
  • Support contract negotiations for major vendors and subcontractors
  • Partner with executive leadership on budgeting, financial planning, and strategic initiatives
  • Drive profitability while maintaining quality and safety standards

Team Development & Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams across project management and field operations
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and leadership development
  • Recruit and retain top talent to support sustained growth
  • Build the next generation of leaders within the organization

Who You Are

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in mechanical construction
  • Strong reputation and established relationships within the Dallas–Fort Worth construction market
  • Proven success delivering complex mechanical projects (HVAC, piping, plumbing systems)
  • Experience with Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) systems highly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, drive performance, and deliver results at a strategic level
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred
  • Executive presence and comfort engaging with C-suite, clients, and industry leaders
