Job Overview:

Job Title: Mechanical Line Assembly Technician

Location: West Chester, OH 45246

Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday–Thursday | 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Overview:

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Mechanical Line Assembly Technician to join our production team. In this role, you will assemble mechanical components and products on a production line while following specifications, quality standards, and safety procedures. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble mechanical components, subassemblies, and finished products using hand and power tools
  • Follow work instructions, blueprints, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Perform visual and functional inspections to ensure quality standards are met
  • Identify and report defects or production issues
  • Maintain accurate production and quality records
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives (5S, lean manufacturing, waste reduction)
  • Work collaboratively with team members, engineers, and quality staff
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
  • Meet daily production goals and deadlines

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required (technical training is a plus)
  • Previous mechanical assembly or manufacturing experience preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints or work instructions
  • Experience using hand tools, torque tools, and measuring devices
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
  • Basic computer skills for documentation

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
  • Lift up to 25–50 lbs as needed
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and movement throughout shift
  • Use of hands for fine manipulation and tool operation

Work Environment:

  • Manufacturing/production floor setting
  • Exposure to machinery, noise, and moving equipment
  • Required PPE: safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots

You should be proficient in:

  • Machine Building/Assembling
  • Tape Measure Reading
  • Mechanical Assembly Skills
  • High School / GED
  • Blueprint Reading
