Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, support and performance feedback to Orion production floor team members for achieving, department and personal objective
  • Organize and Lead production floor activities/processes to achieve goals and budget
  • Accountable for ensuring consistent training and development of department staff
  • Ensure that safe working conditions are provided for all staff members and Program Participants
  • Lead team to identify root causes and implement/monitor preventative actions for Quality issues
  • Models appropriate work performance as an example to Orion’s clientele
  • Understand and accurately provide department KPI’s to team members and leadership
  • Teamwork
  • Support all members of the Manufacturing and Orion team fully to achieve company, departmental, and personal goals, and objectives
  • Participate in team and company meetings
  • Role model proper work ethics and behaviors
  • Role model proper hygiene and dress

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Ability to pass background check including the Washington State Department of Social and Health services background through Background Check Central Unit (BCCU)
  • Leadership skills
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and specifications 
  • Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
  • Ability to work cooperatively in team environment 
  • Manufacturing hands-on experience in Mechanical Assembly/Bond required. Experience in mechanical assy preferred
  • Organizational ability
  • Problem solving skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as collectively
  • The ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external customers

  • Frequent use of hands and fingers to reach, manipulate, handle, and hold material
  • Frequent use of vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and spatial relationship
  • Frequent use of hearing ability to receive detailed information through oral communication
  • Frequent use of speaking ability to express or exchange ideas, communicate detailed information, or convey instructions
  • Frequent lifting of 5 or 10 pounds, with occasional lifting to 35 pounds
  • Consistent exposure to manufacturing shop floor, requiring use of Safety Glasses
  • Consistent exposure to excess noise levels, necessitating the use of Hearing Protection
