Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler with hands-on experience using hand and power tools to build and assemble metal components and subassemblies. This role is ideal for someone with a strong mechanical aptitude who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble metal parts, components, and large subassemblies using blueprints and work instructions
- Safely operate hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, torque tools, etc.) and power tools (drills, grinders, impact tools)
- Interpret mechanical drawings and follow detailed assembly procedures
- Perform fitting, aligning, and adjusting of parts to ensure proper functionality
- Inspect finished assemblies for quality and accuracy
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures
Qualifications
- 1–3+ years of mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong experience working with hand and power tools
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings
- Experience working with metal components or fabricated parts preferred
- Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- High School Diploma or GED required
Preferred Skills
- Experience with large assemblies or heavy equipment
- Familiarity with torque specifications and precision measurements
- Basic knowledge of fabrication or welding processes (a plus, not required)
