Job Title: Mechanical Assembler

Schedule: 1st Shift, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Pay: $17–$20/hour (Based on Experience)

Summary

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Assembler to build and inspect winches, reducers, and rigging equipment. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to follow blueprints and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components to specifications using blueprints

• Set gears, brakes, seals, and bearings; torque bolts

• Perform inspections, measurements, and leak checks

• Operate drill press, manual lathe, and hand/air tools

• Tap threads, grease/oil parts, and ensure proper fitment

• Manage parts inventory, kitting, and material flow

• Troubleshoot assembly issues as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED

• Mechanical experience and ability to read blueprints

• Proficient with hand tools, measuring tools, and shop equipment

• Basic electrical knowledge; pneumatics/welding a plus

• Strong math skills and attention to detail

• Able to work independently after training

• Lift up to 50 lbs
