Job Overview:

We are looking for a Mechanical Assemblers for 2nd Shift. This position will be based in Wendell, NC.

As a Mechanical Assembler you will be responsible for the building, assembling, and wiring of Low and Medium Voltage Electrical Distribution Equipment, such as LV Motor Control Centers, MV breakers, switchgear and Motor Control Centers.

Shift Hours: 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm

Hourly Rate: $19.00 + $1.00 Shift Differential

Basic Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience performing mechanical assembly or experience in the mechanical field

  • Must be able to lift parts or sub-assemblies that weigh up to 50 lbs. occasionally

  • Ability to communicate in English (read, write & speak fluently)

  • Must have a proven record in Quality and Productivity

  • Conform with Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety policy and Management System and strive to continual improve the intended outcomes of the Management System.

  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment within the United States without the need for current or future employer - sponsored work authorization.

    Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Forklift driver experience

  • SAP experience

  • Able to Identify mechanical parts and electrical components

  • Experience working with standard hand and power tools, both pneumatic and battery operated

  • Knowledge of torque wrench and applied torque values

  • Experience with using a tape measure and other measuring devices

    You'll make a difference by:

  • Assemble and wire structures, sub-assemblies, parts kits, and aftermarket parts orders, including mechanical assembly of steel, components, control wiring, power cables, and interconnection of control wires.

  • Read BOMs, follow layouts and assembly drawings, and perform basic wiring per instructions when requested.

  • Record appropriate job transactions and ensure the correct use of torque wrenches.

  • Adhere to developed processes and methods while seeking ways to improve.

  • Follow all safety rules, prioritize safety for self and others, and contribute as a strong team player.

  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by Supervisor or Management.
