Description

USEMCO is seeking a Mechanical Assembler with mechanical aptitude and the ability to read blueprints to perform lift station and tank assembly work. Our ideal candidate would be someone with carpentry skills who possesses the ability to operate a variety of equipment such as hand tools, compressed air powered impact wrenches, welders, tape measures, and an overhead crane.

Position: Mechanical Assembler

1st Shift/Full-Time: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM; Monday - Friday

Working Conditions: Indoors, No travel

Duties and Responsibilities:

Operate various hand and power tools to assemble lift station valves, fittings, and pumps.
Pack tubes according to product specifications.
Assist with insulating and sheet metal work on asphalt tank products.
Assist with assembly of pumps and piping on asphalt tank products.
Work from assembly drawings, specifications, bills of material, and material specifications.
Clean lift stations and perform touch-up painting prior to shipment of product to customers.
Operate various hand and power tools to assemble and install parts on fuel tanks.
Position and fit up work utilizing cranes, hoists, or other positioning equipment.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED required.
1 to 3 years of related experience in assembly preferred.
Ability to use simple shop mathematics to perform assembly work.
Mechanical aptitude and the ability to read blueprints required.
