Location: Southwick, MA

Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM

Pay: $22.50–$28.00/hour

Overtime: Overtime and weekends may be required

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Assembler to join a manufacturing team in Southwick, MA. In this role, you will assemble mechanical components and finished products by following blueprints, schematics, and detailed work instructions.

This is a hands-on position that requires strong attention to detail, comfort using hand and power tools, and the ability to work with close tolerances.

What You'll Do

• Assemble mechanical parts and components according to blueprints and work instructions

• Use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete assemblies

• Install and torque fasteners according to specifications

• Read and interpret basic blueprints, schematics, and assembly instructions

• Perform inspections to ensure completed assemblies meet quality standards

• Identify defects and report quality issues

• Troubleshoot basic assembly problems and make adjustments as needed

• Complete production and inspection paperwork

• Gather parts, materials, tools, and subassemblies needed for production

• Assist with inventory and material tracking

• Work with the production team to meet daily production goals

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical school preferred

• 2+ years of manufacturing assembly experience

• Aerospace manufacturing experience is a plus

• Experience using hand and power tools

• Knowledge of fastener installation and torqueing

• Ability to read basic blueprints and company work instructions

• Comfortable performing complex assembly and close-tolerance work

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

• Ability to bend, reach overhead, climb stairs, and sit as needed

• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds

• Ability to work around machinery, forklifts, noise, metal parts, oils, cutting fluids, dust, and other typical manufacturing conditions
