**Woodward is seeking a
**¨NBSP;Mechanical Assembler to join our team in Niles, IL. As a Mechanical Assembler, you will assemble, install, align, adjust, and fit subassemblies and parts using appropriate tools and equipment in an industrial setting. As a Mechanical Assembler, you will report to the Manufacturing Supervisor and work under moderate supervision, with limited interaction with external suppliers or customers.
This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). All applicants must be U.S. Persons within the meaning of the ITAR and EAR, or eligible to obtain all required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State and/or the U.S. Department of Commerce. **Shift Information:

First Shift Hours | 6:00am - 2:30pm | Monday to Friday
Second Shift Hours | 3:00pm - 11:30pm | +10% Shift Differential
Third Shift Hours | 11:30 pm – 7:30 am | +15% Shift Differential
8-hour shifts
**Required Education and Experience:
**
**Level 1:
**
High school diploma or equivalent
Mechanical aptitude
1+ years of manufacturing experience
**Level 2:
**
High school diploma or equivalent
Mechanical aptitude
1+ years of manufacturing experience
2-5 years of related experience
**General Requirements for ALL Levels:
**
Ability to use basic hand tools
Ability to demonstrate eagerness, enthusiasm, and optimism for work activities
Ability to work in an industrial setting under some supervision
Basic written/verbal communication and computer skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow work instructions
**Essential Functions:
**
Conduct preset calibration and final testing, assembling low to moderately complex products. These may include small components, light subassemblies, or complete units
Assemble, install, align, and adjust subassemblies, parts, or auxiliary equipment using appropriate tools and equipment per work instructions
Clean parts, maintain tools, and ensure equipment is in proper working condition according to specified guidelines
Follow documented work instructions to obtain certification for assigned tasks and ensure compliance with required assembly skills
Adhere to close tolerances and precise fits to meet engineering and operational specifications
Accurately complete all necessary paperwork, including Quality Assurance and Test Records
