The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for the installation of components, assemblies and sub-assemblies on the production line(s) and mechanical tasks as they apply to production or repairs of product, diagnose hydraulic components and diesel engines.
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Installs purchased, assembled and preassembled components.
2. Conduct installations both electronic and mechanical according to general instructions and established standards.
3. Lifts/moves assemblies & components.
4. Completes assigned tasks.
5. Prepares & maintains all associated production documentation.
6. Examines all work performed in assigned areas.
7. Participates in commissioning, operator training and testing as required.
8. Assembles product components to maintain published schedule as directed.
9. Examines product for proper fit and function.
10. Conducts installation inspections.
11. Displays the proven ability to give clear and concise instruction.
12. Assists in the organization of shop floor work.
13. Able to delegate and manage multiple tasks.
14. Demonstrates both ability and desire to improve process and reduce waste.
15. Proficient in precision layout and measurements as per drawings/hand drawings/or revisions.
16. Works effectively and efficiently under minimal supervision.
17. Practices safe work procedures at all times; lead by example.
18. Exhibits problem solving, decision making, job task planning and organizational capabilities.
19. Other duties as required and directed.
Education & Experience
• Previous work experience preferred.
