Job Overview:

The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for installing components, assemblies, and sub-assemblies on the production line(s), performing mechanical tasks related to product production or repairs, and diagnosing hydraulic components.  

Roles & Responsibilities

1.    Installs purchased, assembled, and preassembled components.

2.    Conducts mechanical installations according to general instructions and established standards.

3.    Lifts and moves assemblies and components.

4.    Assembles product components to meet published schedules as directed.

5.    Examines product for proper fit and function.

6.    Practices safe work procedures at all times; leads by example.

7.    Assists in the organization of the shop floor work.

8.    Able to manage multiple tasks.

9.    Proficient in precision layout and measurement per drawings, hand drawings, or revisions

10.    Examines all work performed in assigned areas.

11.    Conducts installation inspections.

12.    Exhibits strong problem-solving, decision-making, job task planning, and organizational capabilities.

13.    Completes assigned tasks efficiently and accurately.

14.    Demonstrates both the ability and desire to improve processes and reduce waste.

15.    Performs other duties as required and directed.

Education & Expierence

•    Previous work experience preferred

•    Effective time management skills to assist in coordinating the department over multiple shifts. 

•    Exceptional people skills and a can-do attitude are essential keys to success in this role. 

•    Strong interpersonal skills and ability to excel in a team environment. 

•    Strong work ethic.

•    Good oral communication. 

•    Problem solving/ decision making/ job task planning and organization. 

•    Ability to lift 50 lbs./ manual dexterity. 

•    Demonstrate teamwork and commitment to ongoing training for success in the position. 

•    Read and interpret blueprints/ drawing specifications.

•    Able to operate and maintain general hand and air tools – brake, sheer grinding equipment. 

•    Have an understanding of standard work procedures. 

•    Follow and give oral and written instructions; maintain cooperative working relationships; demonstrate sensitivity to, and respect for, a diverse population.
