We are hiring Mechanical Assemblers for a contract-to-perm opportunity in Franklin, WI. This 1st shift role focuses on assembling electrical switch equipment in a manufacturing environment using hand tools, power tools, measuring equipment, and assembly prints.
This is a strong opportunity for candidates with previous assembly experience or solid mechanical aptitude who are comfortable working with tools and performing repetitive, hands-on production work.
Assemble electrical switch equipment at designated production stations.
Identify, transport, install, mount, and bolt components.
Use hand tools, power tools, air impact tools, torque wrenches, screwdrivers, tape measures, and simple measuring instruments.
Perform mechanical inspections during the assembly process.
Make simple adjustments as required.
Follow work instructions, procedures, and assembly prints.
Use material-handling equipment and overhead cranes when required.
Maintain production requirements while ensuring quality standards are met.
Assembly experience or demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
Basic understanding of mechanical assembly operations.
Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and air impact tools.
Basic shop math and measuring skills, including use of a tape measure.
Ability to follow detailed work instructions and procedures.
Ability to work Monday through Thursday, 5:00 AM–3:30 PM.
Availability for Friday overtime as needed.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Previous mechanical assembly experience.
Experience reading blueprints or assembly prints.
Wiring experience.
$20.00/hour – firm
Contract-to-perm opportunity.
