Join Our Team as a Mechanical Assembler

We are looking for a Mechanical Assembler to join our 1st shift manufacturing team. In this role, you will build machines and mechanical sub-assemblies according to customer specifications, using drawings, blueprints, written instructions, and hands-on problem solving.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, using tools, building equipment, and learning how machines work. We are looking for someone who is dependable, mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

What You'll Do

  • Assemble machines, including sealers, tunnels, and related mechanical sub-assemblies.
  • Read and follow blueprints, mechanical drawings, diagrams, schematics, and written instructions.
  • Gather parts and components from inventory to complete machine builds.
  • Use hand tools and power tools to assemble equipment accurately and efficiently.
  • Complete work orders, assembly checklists, and required documentation.
  • Perform basic testing, inspections, and troubleshooting during the assembly process.
  • Identify and communicate assembly or equipment issues to engineering and supervision.
  • Help maintain accurate inventory and assist with cycle counts.
  • Report missing, damaged, or incorrect parts and inventory discrepancies.
  • Assist in training other team members as needed.
  • Help improve and update assembly processes when appropriate.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • 0–5 years of mechanical, manufacturing, assembly, or related experience.
  • Ability to read and understand basic mechanical drawings or blueprints.
  • Comfortable using basic hand and power tools.
  • Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
  • Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Dependable and committed to producing quality work.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent use of hands and fine motor skills for mechanical and small-part assembly.
  • Regular standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, and occasional crawling.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. from waist level and carry it up to 30 feet.
  • Ability to see small parts and details and adjust focus as needed.

Work Environment

This is an industrial manufacturing environment with exposure to moderate noise, dirt, odors, and other typical production conditions.

Why This Could Be a Great Fit

If you enjoy building things, working with tools, solving mechanical problems, and seeing a finished machine come together, this could be a great opportunity to grow your skills in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
