**Mechanic Helper

Location: Houston, TX 77073

Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a dependable and hardworking Mechanic Helper to assist mechanics with equipment maintenance, repairs, and general shop operations. The ideal candidate has basic mechanical knowledge, experience using hand and power tools, and a willingness to learn new skills in a fabrication or industrial shop environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist mechanics with equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Use hand tools and power tools to support daily shop activities.
• Help disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble mechanical components.
• Assist with routine preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment.
• Identify and report equipment issues or potential safety concerns.
• Help move materials, parts, tools, and equipment throughout the shop.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow instructions from mechanics, supervisors, and shop personnel.
• Follow all company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.
• Perform general labor duties and other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Previous mechanical, automotive, maintenance, or shop experience is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude.
• Willingness to learn mechanical repair and maintenance skills.
• Ability to lift and move materials as required.
• Ability to work in an industrial or fabrication shop environment.
• Must follow workplace safety procedures.
