Custom Truck One Source (CTOS) is hiring Field Service Technicians to support customers across Louisiana, Mississippi, East Texas, and Western Alabama.

Field Service Mechanic – Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the field expert diagnosing and repairing specialized utility equipment
- Work on bucket trucks, digger derricks, cranes, service trucks, and related equipment
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain aerial, construction, and light/heavy-duty truck systems
- Perform inspections, troubleshooting, parts replacement, and repairs on rental, customer, and company units
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience with utility or heavy equipment (e.g., Caterpillar, John Deere, Komatsu, medium/heavy-duty trucks)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team
- Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude in field environments
Travel & Work Environment
- Road warrior role covering Louisiana, Mississippi, East Texas, and Western Alabama
- Frequent overnight travel required (50%–80%+)
- Significant work along the Gulf Coast (oil, gas, and utility industries)
Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License required; CDL Class B preferred
Compensation & Equipment
- Company-provided, fully equipped service truck (crane, welder, compressor)
- Company computer and credit card provided
Additional Details
- On-call rotation shared across 3–4 technicians (Monday–Sunday) with $250 on-call bonus
- Work mix: ~70% CTOS rental equipment, ~30% third-party work
- Includes DOT inspections and dielectric testing
You should be proficient in:
- Heavy Equipment Repair
- Hydraulics Experience
- ASE Automobile and Light Truck Certification Tests
- Diesel & Heavy Equipment Systems
- Electrical Systems & Diagnostics (Heavy Equipment)
- Aerial & Utility Equipment Systems
- Current CDL License
- DOT & Equipment Inspection Compliance
