Custom Truck One Source is seeking a skilled Custom Build-Upfit Mechanic to join our team in Union Grove, WI. In this role, you'll be responsible for installing, assembling, modifying, and troubleshooting specialized truck equipment and upfits on commercial vehicles. If you enjoy fabrication, hydraulics, electrical work, and building custom solutions, this is an excellent opportunity to put your skills to work on unique and challenging projects.

What You'll Do

• Install and assemble custom truck bodies, utility equipment, cranes, aerial devices, and related components.
• Perform mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic installations.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Mount and install PTOs, pumps, hydraulic systems, lighting packages, toolboxes, and accessories.
• Fabricate brackets, mounts, and custom components as needed.
• Troubleshoot and repair installation issues during the build process.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality, safety, and customer specifications are met.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and service teams to deliver high-quality finished trucks.

What We're Looking For

• Experience as a mechanic, upfit technician, truck equipment installer, fabricator, diesel technician, automotive technician, or related trade.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and fabrication tools.
• Experience reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a shop environment.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
