Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Auto Mechanic / Auto Body Repair Technician with automotive painting experience to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience performing vehicle diagnostics, repairs, collision restoration, bodywork, and paint refinishing. This role requires a detail-oriented professional capable of restoring vehicles to pre-accident condition while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic vehicle systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and general automotive repairs.
• Inspect vehicles and identify mechanical and cosmetic damage.
• Complete collision repairs including panel replacement, dent repair, body filler application, and frame straightening.
• Weld, fabricate, and repair vehicle components as needed.
• Prepare vehicle surfaces for paint by sanding, grinding, masking, and priming.
• Mix and match automotive paint colors using manufacturer specifications.
• Apply primer, basecoat, and clearcoat finishes using spray equipment.
• Buff, polish, and finish painted surfaces to meet quality standards.
• Utilize diagnostic scanners, hand tools, power tools, and body shop equipment.
• Read and interpret repair orders, blueprints, schematics, and manufacturer repair procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment while adhering to OSHA and company safety standards.
• Conduct final quality inspections to ensure repairs meet customer and company expectations.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as an Auto Mechanic, Auto Body Technician, Collision Repair Technician, or Automotive Painter.
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures.
• Experience with collision repair, frame repair, welding, and refinishing.
• Proficiency using automotive diagnostic equipment and repair tools.
• Ability to perform paint preparation, color matching, spray painting, and finishing.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• ASE Certification
• I-CAR Certification
• Automotive Painting Certification
• Experience with aluminum and steel body repairs
• Experience working in a dealership, collision center, fleet maintenance facility, or restoration shop
