Mechanic - 2nd Shift (50967 - ACS)
POSITION SUMMARY
Maintains electrical and electro-mechanical production machinery to ensure machines operate properly and within set specifications; refers advanced troubleshooting or repairs to Assembly Mechanic II.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs functions of Operator and/or Material Handler.
- Takes on added responsibility of running and inspecting machines in his/her production area and assists where needed with minor troubleshooting under Assembly Mechanic II direction.
- Assists with parts and tooling change overs.
- Opens work orders and issues parts.
- Cleans, inspects and lubricates high speed equipment.
- Rebuilds machine/mechanical components.
- Performs restorative maintenance.
- Creates maintenance records in SAP/TMP.
- Responsible for product safety and the quality of goods produced.
- Assists the Assembly Mechanic II perform preventative maintenance.
- Prints and interprets production schedules.
- Assists team lead and may fill in as necessary/based on business need.
- Completes and e-mails production log as required.
Education:
HS Degree or GED preferred
Requirements:
- Must have basic trouble shooting & electrical sensor replacement experience.
- Must be a certified Operator I and possess a clear understanding of running a machine for set up).
- Must have mechanical skills/aptitude (as determined by testing).
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds occasionally throughout the shift, one (1) to two (2) times every four (4) hours.
- Must be able to stand, walk, lift, bend and stoop continuously throughout the shift.
- Must be able to climb steps.
- Must be able to hear warning signals/verbal alerts to avoid injury during manufacturing process,
- Must be able to read, write and speak English in order to effectively communicate and understand relevant information relating to quality and production issues.
- Must be able to read various inspection gauges.
- Must possess basic math and PC skills.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the maximum hourly rate for the Mechanic I position is: up to $28.16 plus any applicable shift differential. The maximum hourly rate for Mechanic II (which encompasses additional job responsibilities) is up to $40.00 (plus applicable shift differential).
