ABOUT THE POSITION:

As a Mechanic you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our cosmetic manufacturing equipment, including mixers, fillers, conveyors, and packaging machinery. The role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in our manufacturing process.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on cosmetic manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.

  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues with machinery and equipment, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.

  • Conduct preventive maintenance tasks according to schedule, including lubrication, inspections, and art replacements.

  • Collaborate with production team members to prioritize maintenance activities and minimize disruptions to manufacturing operations.

  • Document maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and parts inventory, using our maintenance management system.

  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment, ensuring proper setup and integration with existing systems.

  • Train production staff on equipment operation and basic maintenance procedures to promote safety and efficiency.

  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, efficiency, and quality in our manufacturing processes.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas, including tools, equipment, and spare parts inventory.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in mechanical engineering or a related field preferred.

Experience:

  • Proven experience as a mechanic or maintenance technician, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and repair equipment issues accurately and efficiently.

  • Familiarity with cosmetic manufacturing equipment and processes is a plus.

  • Knowledge of electrical systems and controls is desirable.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Detail oriented with a commitment to quality and safety,

  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, or overtime as needed.

  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment and materials.
